The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has announced a seven-day programme from 25 May to 1 June to mark the martyrdom anniversary of the party’s founder, martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
The programme was announced on Monday morning at a press conference held at the party’s central office in Naya Paltan in the capital by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General and adviser to the party chairperson, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.
He said the party had taken up programmes from 25 May to 1 June. “Eid-ul-Azha falls within this period. Therefore, if anyone observes any of the programmes a day or two later, that will also be acceptable,” he added.
As part of the schedule, the BNP will hold a discussion meeting at 2:00pm on 31 May at Ramna under the party’s initiative.
