Popular content creator and actor Kaarina Kaisar, daughter of former Bangladesh national football team star Kaisar Hamid, was laid to rest on Monday.
Her fourth namaz-e-janaza was held around 8am at her maternal family home in the Abdullahpur area of Bhoberchar Union under Gazaria upazila in Munshiganj, where she was later buried.
Earlier in the morning, around 7am, her body was brought to Gazaria from Dhaka by ambulance, plunging the area into mourning.
Family sources said her liver had nearly failed due to complications from Hepatitis A and E infections. As her condition worsened, she was flown by air ambulance to CMC Hospital in Vellore, Chennai, on the night of May 11 for advanced treatment. She died there while undergoing treatment on the night of May 15.
Kaarina had been on life support in Bangladesh since the night of May 8.
