Popular content creator and media personality Kaarina Kaisar passed away while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chennai in India on late Friday.
Her father, former player of Bangladesh national football team, Mohammad Kaisar Hamid, said that Kaarina’s health condition deteriorated suddenly while doctors were administering antibiotics for a lung infection.
‘Her blood pressure dropped sharply during the treatment. Doctors tried their best, but ultimately they could not save her,’ he told reporters.
Kaarina had been in a critical condition for several days due to liver complications. She was on life support at a private hospital in Dhaka. Later, she was airlifted to Chennai on Monday night for advanced treatment.
She was receiving treatment at Christian Medical College Hospital in Vellore.
According to family sources, Kaarina initially developed a fever. Later, doctors detected an infection and complications caused by Hepatitis A and E viruses led to liver failure.
