Caseload of measles, symptoms hits highest in a day; 7 children killed

The highest single-day count of patients with measles and related symptoms was recorded in the 24 hours till Thursday morning, according to data revealed by the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

During 8am Wednesday-8am Thursday, 1,631 people were diagnosed with the disease and related complications.

Over the same period, seven children died, taking the total death toll to 478 in just over two months.
