Six more children died from measles and related symptoms in the 24 hours till Wednesday morning, taking the total death toll past 480 in just over two months.
One child died each in the divisions of Dhaka, Sylhet and Khulna from measles symptoms. Two died in Barishal division and one in Dhaka division from confirmed measles infection.
During 8am Tuesday-8am Wednesday, 1,408 others were infected with the disease and its symptoms, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Among the infections, 138 are confirmed measles cases, and 1,270 others were diagnosed with symptoms.
