To facilitate the return journey of travelers after Eid-ul-Azha, Bangladesh Railway is selling advance tickets for intercity train seats under a special arrangement. Tickets for intercity trains scheduled for 31 May went on sale today.
The ticket sales for trains operating in the western region began at 8:00am on Thursday, while tickets for trains operating in the eastern region will go on sale at 2:00pm. For passenger convenience, all train seat tickets will once again be sold exclusively online.
According to Bangladesh Railway’s Eid operational plan, tickets for 1 June will be sold on 22 May, tickets for 2 June on 23 May, tickets for 3 June on 24 May, and tickets for 4 June on 25 May.
It has also been announced that tickets purchased during this period will be non-refundable. Each passenger will be allowed to purchase a maximum of four seat tickets in a single transaction. If more than one ticket is purchased, the names of accompanying passengers must be provided at the time of booking.
