US trade envoy Brendan Lynch is set to visit Dhaka to strengthen trade and investment relations between Bangladesh and the United States.

In a media note issued on Monday, the US Embassy in Dhaka said a delegation led by Lynch will visit Dhaka from 5 to 7 May to hold discussions on enhancing bilateral trade and investment cooperation.

The United States is seeking partnership in implementing a reciprocal trade agreement with Bangladesh. Officials expect that such an agreement would facilitate easier market access for both countries, remove investment barriers, and expand commercial opportunities, ultimately boosting economic growth.
