Several countries have announced the probable date of Eid al-Azha, with forecasts largely centering around late May.

According to the official Umm al-Qura calendar used in Saudi Arabia, Eid-ul-Azha is expected to be observed on 27 May. The calendar indicates that the 29th day of Zilqad will fall on 16 May, followed by the 30th day on 17 May, meaning the month will complete 30 days before the beginning of Zilhaj.

Astronomers in Pakistan have also indicated that Eid-ul-Azha is likely to be celebrated on 27 May, based on lunar calculations.

In the United Kingdom and Europe, Eid may fall on either Wednesday, 27 May, or Thursday, 28 May, depending on the sighting of the new moon, according to Muslim lifestyle platform Hyphen Online.

Similarly, the United Arab Emirates has projected, based on scientific calculations, that the Day of Arafat will fall on 26 May, with Eid-ul-Azha to be observed the following day, 27 May.

In Bangladesh, Eid is typically celebrated a day after Saudi Arabia. As such, Eid-ul-Azha is likely to be observed on 28 May, subject to moon sighting.

According to the Islamic calendar, Eid-ul-Azha is celebrated on the 10th day of Zilhaj, the month following Zilqad. The final date, however, will be confirmed by the National Moon Sighting Committee based on the visibility of the crescent moon.
