File PhotoA settlement has reportedly been reached with the family of Mariam Akhtar, the second wife of Satkhira-4 constituency former MP Gazi Nazrul Islam, in a case filed over her death.
The matter was disclosed during a bail hearing before the court of additional chief metropolitan magistrate Sefatullah in Dhaka on Wednesday.
During the hearing, the plaintiff said that he had no objection to granting bail to Gazi Nazrul Islam and his first wife, Makshuda Islam, following the settlement.
Masum Billah, who represented the plaintiff, also told the court that he had no objection to their bail.
