The Police-Magistracy Conference-2026 was held in Jhalakathi on Tuesday (September 29), organized by the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court. The conference took place in the afternoon at the conference room of the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court.Chief Judicial Magistrate HM Kabir Hossain presided over the meeting, while Senior District and Sessions Judge Md. Matiar Rahman attended as the chief guest.
Jhalakathi Superintendent of Police Marine Sultana, District Council Administrator and District Bar Association President Advocate Md. Shahadat Hossain, judges of the District Judge Court and Chief Judicial Magistrate Court, District and Sessions Judge Court Public Prosecutor (PP) Advocate Maheb Hossain, Press Club President Advocate Akkas Sikdar, District Bar Association General Secretary Advocate Sohel Akon, senior police officials and officers-in-charge of different police stations attended the conference.
The meeting discussed the district’s overall crime situation, case investigations and proceedings, presentation of evidence, speedy disposal of cases, and coordination between the police and the magistracy.
Participants emphasized strengthening coordination among the police, judiciary and other stakeholders to make judicial activities more effective, improve case investigations and evidence presentation, and maintain law and order.
Several decisions were taken based on the discussions. The participants also stressed further improving the district’s law and order situation and expediting judicial proceedings through mutual cooperation and coordination.
