Gas supply will remain suspended for six hours in several areas of Dhaka on Saturday due to emergency repair work on a gas pipeline, according to Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company.
The supply will remain suspended from 2:00pm to 8:00pm in Sarulia, Purba Boxnagar, Hajinagar, Borobhanga, Konapara, Demra Staff Quarters, Amulia, Ranimahal, Nimai Kasari, Rasulnagar and Sukusi.
The affected areas also include the stretch from the eastern side of Kanchpur Bridge to Sultana Kamal Bridge, Shonir Akhra, Matuail, Postogola, Jurain, Haji Khorshed Ali Road, Zia Sarani, Dhania, Pater Bagh, Japanese Bazar, Khuder Bazar, Dholairpar intersection, Madrasa Road, Pipe Road, Kajlar Mor, Mirer Bagicha and Baghmara.
Titas Gas said that gas supply to all categories of customers in the affected areas would remain suspended during the scheduled period.
Gas pressure may also remain low in adjoining areas while the repair work is underway, it said.
The gas distribution company expressed regret to customers for the temporary inconvenience.
