Rajshahi has recorded lowest temperature of 7 degrees Celsius in the current winter season. The temperature was recorded at 6AM on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, a mild to moderate cold wave is sweeping over 10 districts of the country.

According to the Rajshahi Meteorological Office, the temperature has dropped by 3 degrees Celsius in a single day compared to Monday. As a result, the minimum temperature has dropped to 7 degrees for the first time this winter season.

The visibility was reduced to 600 metres due to dense fog.

The district weather office said that the minimum temperature in Rajshahi was 10 degrees Celsius on Monday, while the maximum temperature was recorded at 14.8 degrees Celsius.

The cold wave is currently sweeping over Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Dinajpur, Nilphamari, Panchagarh, Rangamati, Jashore, Kushtia and Chuadanga.

Despite the fall in the country's lowest temperature, the temperature in Dhaka showed a slight rise today.

Officials of the BMD said temperatures may fluctuate over the next three to four days, while a rising trend may begin around January 10 or 11.
