Police arrested content creator Ashraful Alom, popularly known as Hero Alom from Hatirjheel area in the capital following an outstanding arrest warrant in a case filed by his former wife.

Hatirjheel Police Station officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Razu confirmed the arrest.

Earlier, Alom’s former wife, Riya Moni, filed a case with Hatirjheel Police Station accusing him of attempted murder, assault and issuing threats.

On Wednesday, Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Wahiduzzaman issued an arrest warrant against Hero Alom in connection with the case.

Another individual, Ahsan Habib Selim, has also been named as a co-accused in the same case, and an arrest warrant has been issued against him as well.
