Choity Biswas has passed the 18th Bangladesh Judicial Service (BJS) examination and has been recommended for appointment as a judge, following in the footsteps of her husband, Udas Goswami, who is already serving as a Judicial Magistrate.
The results of the 18th BJS examination were published by the Bangladesh Judicial Service Commission Secretariat on Wednesday evening, bringing immense joy to Choity’s family, relatives and well-wishers.
Choity, a former student of Rajshahi University from the 2018–19 academic session, began preparing for the BJS examination after completing her university studies. Her persistent efforts and dedication eventually led to her success in the competitive examination.
Her husband, Udas Goswami, is also a former student of Rajshahi University. He previously passed the BJS examination and joined the judiciary. He is currently serving as a Judicial Magistrate.
The achievement of both husband and wife in entering the judiciary has brought special pride and happiness to their family. Their journey from being students of the same university to becoming members of the same profession has also drawn attention among current and former students of Rajshahi University.
Expressing his happiness over his wife's success, Udas congratulated Choity in a social media post.
“Since childhood, I had a great curiosity to see judges and magistrates. Now, upon waking up, I will have the good fortune of seeing a judge. By the infinite grace of the Creator, your hard work has brought you honour,” he wrote.
In another emotional message, he wrote, “Congratulations, my dear wife Choity Biswas, on passing the 18th Judiciary examination.”
Udas also remembered his late father and expressed his regret that his father could not witness the achievement.
The success of the couple has sparked discussion on social media, with many describing their journey as an example of hard work, perseverance and mutual inspiration.
Their achievement has brought joy not only to their family but also to the wider Rajshahi University community and has become an encouraging story for students aspiring to pursue careers in the judiciary.
