A colorful rally and discussion meeting were held in Bhola on Wednesday (August 19) to mark the 46th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Swechhasebak Dal.
The Bhola district unit of the organization arranged the program, drawing a large number of leaders and activists from the BNP and its affiliated and associate organizations, including the Swechhasebak Dal, Jubo Dal and Chhatra Dal.
Carrying banners and festoons and accompanied by musical instruments, the rally paraded through different streets of Bhola town. Participants chanted party slogans and exchanged greetings on the occasion of the founding anniversary, creating a festive atmosphere.
The discussion meeting was chaired by Mizanur Rahman Masud, convener of the Bhola district Swechhasebak Dal, while Muntasir Alam Chowdhury Robin, member secretary of the district unit, conducted the event.
Alhaj Golam Nabi Alamgir, convener of the Bhola district BNP and chairman of the Bhola District Council, attended the program as the chief guest.
Special guests included district BNP joint conveners Harunur Rashid Truman, Humayun Kabir Sopan and Kabir Hossain; Sadar Upazila BNP member secretary Helal Uddin; Bhola municipal BNP organizing secretary Liaquat Ali; district Jubo Dal president Jamal Uddin Liton and general secretary Abdul Kader Selim; Sadar Upazila Jubo Dal member secretary Billal Hossain; and district Chhatra Dal president Abdullah Al Russell.
Senior joint convener of the district Swechhasebak Dal Yakub Shah Jewel, joint conveners Zakir Hossain Monir, Omar Faruk, Luku Chowdhury, Firoz, Harunur Rashid Suman, Kamal Member, Kamal Pasha, Kamal Molla, Emdad Hossain and Sapan Goladar were also present.
Among others, Sadar Upazila Swechhasebak Dal convener Ibrahim Khalil, joint convener Faruk Dewan, Bhola municipal Swechhasebak Dal member secretary Mainuddin Howlader, joint conveners Mehedi Hasan and Sohag, along with leaders and activists from different levels of the organization, attended the program.
Addressing the discussion meeting, speakers highlighted the history and ideology of the organization as well as its role in democratic movements. They also expressed their commitment to making the Swechhasebak Dal stronger, more organized and united in the days ahead.
The anniversary program generated enthusiasm among leaders and activists of the Bhola district unit of the Jatiyatabadi Swechhasebak Dal.
