‘You cannot remain in power by doing whatever you want in society. Sheikh Hasina had to flee even after having the army, police, BGB and RAB.’ — This is what Md. Rafiqul Islam Jamal, MP for Jhalakathi-1 (Rajapur-Kathalia) constituency and BNP National Executive Committee Religious Affairs Secretary, said.
He made this comment as the chief guest at a rally organized on Monday (August 17) afternoon after visiting the proposed bridge construction site over the Bishkhali River in the Kachua-Betagi Ferry Ghat area of Kathalia Upazila.
The rally was organized by the initiative of Rubel Social Welfare and Sports Association.
At the rally, MP Rafiqul Islam Jamal said, ‘Construction of a bridge at the Kachua-Betagi Ferry Ghat on the Bishkhali River is my oath. We will build this bridge to fulfill the long-standing aspirations of the local people at any cost.’

Stating that Tarique Rahman is making every effort to build a benevolent state, he called on everyone to cooperate in this work.
