Police have arrested a madrasa principal in Savar on charge of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old student.
The arrestee, Golam Rabbani, 40, is the principal of a madrasa in the Tetuljhora area of Savar.
Confirming the arrest, Savar Model Police Station Inspector (Investigation) Noor Mohammad told that the victim’s father filed a case last night, accusing the principal of sexually assaulting his 15‑year‑old son on multiple occasions.
Following the filing of the case, police arrested Golam Rabbani the same night, the officer said.
"The accused has been arrested, and preparations are underway to produce him before a court," he said.
