Collected PhotoNine more children died with measles-like symptoms across the country and 1,228 new suspected cases were reported in the past 24 hours, the health authorities said on Sunday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 113 cases of measles were confirmed between 8am Saturday and 8am Sunday, with no confirmed deaths during the same period.
The DGHS said that since 15 March, the total number of confirmed measles cases has stood at 21,212, while suspected cases have reached 188,041.
During the same period, 101 people died from confirmed measles, while 995 deaths were reported among suspected cases, bringing the total number of fatalities to 1,096.
Besides, a total of 159,519 patients have recovered so far, the DGHS said.
