Collected PhotoPrime Minister's Office spokesperson Mahdi Amin has said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s recent United States visit highly successful, highlighting a finalized Boeing aircraft purchase agreement that firmly safeguarded Bangladesh's bilateral interests.
He made these remarks to reporters upon arriving at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 8:30 AM on Sunday.
Mahdi Amin said, "The Prime Minister presented our national stance firmly at the United Nations. World leaders welcomed her warmly."
Prime Minister's Press Secretary Saleh Shibli noted that the Prime Minister does not appreciate large crowds of party activists gathering to receive her, marking a shift in political culture.
Members of the press wing stated that during the five-day visit, the Prime Minister highlighted Bangladesh's interests and potential on the global stage. Through a historic speech, she outlined her plans for people across all walks of life.
Earlier, the Prime Minister returned home after attending the United Nations General Assembly session. She was accompanied by her entourage, including her wife, Dr. Zubaida Rahman.
A government delegation, including the Speaker of the National Parliament, the Chief Whip, and the Minister of Local Government, welcomed her at the airport.
