US Ambassador to Bangladesh Brent Christensen on Monday congratulated Foreign Minister Dr Khalilur Rahman on assuming office, emphasising Washington’s commitment to strengthening bilateral ties with Dhaka.
The US envoy conveyed the congratulations when he called on the Foreign Minister at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs here.
Speaking at the meeting, Ambassador Christensen reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to working closely with Bangladesh to promote security, prosperity, and stronger cooperation between the two nations.
Earlier in the day, the US envoy also paid a courtesy call on State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obaed Islam.
