
Eight more children died with measles-like symptoms, while 1,086 suspected and confirmed measles cases were reported across the country in the past 24 hours.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) disclosed the figures in its regular press release on Saturday.
Of the total 1,086 cases, 955 people were identified with measles-like symptoms, while 131 were confirmed to have measles.
From 15 March to 10 October, the total number of suspected measles cases reached 203,848, while confirmed cases stood at 22,328. During the same period, 180,945 people with measles-like symptoms were admitted to hospitals, of whom 173,454 recovered and were discharged.
The total number of deaths among people with measles-like symptoms reached 1,051 between 15 March and 10 October.
No deaths from confirmed measles were reported in the 24 hours to Saturday. However, the cumulative death toll from confirmed measles since 15 March stood at 104, according to the DGHS.
