President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has expressed deep sorrow over the massive loss of lives and devastation left by the flash floods and landslides in Nepal.
He also showed sympathy to the family members of the deceased on behalf of the Bangladesh government and its people through a condolence message issued on Thursday.
Earlier on Wednesday, the foreign ministry expressed grief over the incident while informing the Nepal government about Bangladesh’s preparedness to assist them in rescue and relief efforts.
The death toll from the flash floods in Nepal has climed to 162, with hundreds of others still missing.
