Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's government stands by the flood-affected people of the country, including Chattogram and the Chittagong Hill Tracts, said State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Anindya Islam Amit.

He said that the government is providing and will continue to provide all kinds of assistance to the flood-affected people for any need.

He said this while reiterating the government's commitment to visit the flood-affected people in Keuchia Union, Satkania, Chattogram on Monday, inquire about their condition, and stand by the helpless people during relief distribution.

The State Minister conveyed well wishes to the flood-affected people on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman. Then, he said, "We know that you have been going through a lot of hardship for the past seven days. We pray to God that this difficult time will end soon. I want to assure you on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman that this government will deliver foods to every affected person, every suffering person, InshaAllah.”

Anindya Islam Amit said, “Not only will we deliver food to your mouths at this time, but also, InshaAllah, the cost of repairing the houses of those whose houses have been damaged will be borne by the Prime Minister Tarique Rahman government. We will take initiatives on behalf of the government so that those whose crop fields have been destroyed, fish ponds have been washed away, and livestock have been damaged can also return to normal life after recovering from the damage.”

He also said, “The upazila and district administrations have been working to alleviate the suffering of the affected people since the first day. Local MPs have also been working from the beginning. I have come on behalf of the Prime Minister to further coordinate this work and to stand by your side in your suffering.”

Stating that the Bangladesh Army has helped in reaching remote areas and the Air Force has reached the doorsteps of the endangered people with foods, he expressed his thanks and gratitude to both the forces.
