Prime Minister Tarique Rahman extended warm Eid greetings to the countrymen, the global Muslim community and the rest of the world on Tuesday night, a day ahead of the holy occassion.

He also prayed to the Almighty for peace, stability and security in the Islamic world, and for global coexistence and security.

"Reminding everyone of the supreme spirit of sacrifice, the glorious guidance of taqwa (God-consciousness), and the unique message of self-purification, the holy Eid-ul-Azha has once again arrived at the doorstep of the Muslim world after another year," Tarique wrote on Facebook.

"On this blessed occasion of holy Eid-ul-Azha, I extend Eid Mubarak to the people of the country and to all Muslims around the world. I also convey my heartfelt greetings to all humanity on this sacred Eid.

"Inspired by the greatness of sacrifice, Muslims in Bangladesh and across the world are preparing to celebrate holy Eid-ul-Azha. This magnificent Islamic festival is not merely an occasion of joy and festivity; rather, it carries an eternal message of deep faith in the Creator, self-surrender, and sacrifice. The unwavering faith, unconditional obedience, and supreme sacrifice demonstrated by Prophet Ibrahim (AS) for the pleasure of Almighty Allah have made this day profoundly significant and glorious for the global Muslim Ummah.

"On this holy Eid-ul-Azha, I pray to Almighty Allah that He may accept our sacrifices. May He grant peace, security, and stability to our motherland, the entire Muslim world, and all humanity. At the same time, I pray to Almighty Allah for peace, harmony, and safety throughout the world.

"May this holy Eid-ul-Azha shine with the glory of sacrifice. May Allah accept our Qurbani and acts of worship. May our lives be filled with peace and prosperity through His endless mercy and blessings."
