A mild earthquake was felt in the capital Dhaka and surrounding areas on Tuesday morning.
The tremor struck at around 11:42am and measured 3.6 on the Richter scale.
According to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC), the epicentre was located about 29 kilometres north-east of Mirzapur in Tangail district, 47 kilometres south of Mymensingh and 22 kilometres north-east of Sakhipur.
The earthquake originated at a depth of 10 kilometres beneath the surface, the agency said.
No immediate reports of casualties or damage were received following the tremor.
