Bollywood stars Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan are reportedly in talks to reunite on screen for filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK’s upcoming untitled superhero film.
According to Indian media reports, Kareena is currently the frontrunner for the female lead opposite Salman Khan. While the actress has not officially signed the project yet, reports suggest she has shown strong interest in the role. Salman is also said to have personally reached out to accelerate discussions, putting Kareena ahead of other reported contenders, including Samantha Ruth Prabhu.
If finalised, the film would mark Salman and Kareena’s fifth on-screen collaboration and their first reunion since the 2015 blockbuster “Bajrangi Bhaijaan”. The pair previously shared screen space in films such as “Kyon Ki”, “Main Aurr Mrs Khanna” and “Bodyguard”.
The yet-untitled project, backed by producer Atul Agnihotri and Mythri Movie Makers, is expected to feature Salman Khan in a “never-seen-before avatar” as an ageing superhero pulled back into action by circumstances beyond his control. Reports suggest the film will blend Raj & DK’s signature humour with stylised action on a large scale.
Salman is expected to begin shooting for the film around October-November 2026 after completing director Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming action entertainer, currently being filmed in Mumbai for an Eid 2027 release.
The superhero project will also mark Raj & DK’s return to theatrical feature films nearly a decade after A Gentleman.
