A total of 628,057 new voters have been added to the voter list, raising the country’s total number of registered voters to 128,323,240.
The information was confirmed on Thursday by AHM Anwar Pasha, director general of the National Identity Registration Wing of the Election Commission (EC).
According to the EC, the new voters were included in the electoral roll following the latest update process conducted since 19 November 2025.
Before the latest update, the total number of voters in the country stood at 127,695,183. With the addition of the new voters, the growth rate of the voter population has reached 0.5%.
EC data shows that among the current 128.32 million voters, 65,212,731 are male and 63,109,266 are female voters.
Officials concerned said the regular inclusion of eligible citizens in the voter list would further strengthen the country’s democratic process.
