The 143rd Syndicate Meeting of Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) was held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at 10:30 AM in the university’s Syndicate Room. The meeting was presided over by Syndicate Chairman and Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mahmud Abdul Matin Bhuiyan.
Among others present at the meeting were Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Dr. Kazi Delwar Hossain, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning Professor Dr. Muhammad Rashidul Hasan, Chattogram Divisional Commissioner Dr. Md. Ziauddin, Director of the Institute of River, Harbor and Environmental Sciences Professor Dr. Asiful Hoque, Director of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology Professor Dr. Mohammad Mashiul Hoque, Professor Dr. Mohammad Jahidur Rahman of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Jahangirnagar University, Professor Dr. Md. Sekandar Chowdhury of University of Chittagong, former Director General (TSC) and DMD (BTBL) Engineer Khan Ataur Rahman, Chairman of the Chattogram Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Professor Abdullah Al Mamun Chowdhury, Professor Dr. Sunil Dhar, and Professor Dr. Mohammad Mostafa Kamal of CUET.
Joining the meeting virtually were Professor Dr. Md. Aynal Hoque of the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) and Ms. Alif Rudaba, Additional Secretary (University), Secondary and Higher Education Division under the Ministry of Education.
Professor Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Humayun Kabir, Registrar (Additional Charge) of CUET, performed the duties of Member Secretary at the meeting.
