The government has sent five Additional Inspectors General of Police (Addl IGPs) on retirement.
The Public Security Division of the Home Ministry issued separate notifications in this regard on Monday.
They are Tawfique Mahbub Chowdhury (Principal of the Bangladesh Police Academy, Sardah), Kusum Dewan (River Police), Abu Hasan Muhammad Tariq (Officer on Special Duty - OSD), Abdul Alim Mahmud (Officer on Special Duty - OSD), Masudur Rahman Bhuiyan (Assigned as TR at Police Headquarters).
According to the notifications, the decision was taken under section 45 of the Government Service Act, 2018 (Act No. 57 of 2018).
The order will come into effect immediately.
