The authorities of City University and Daffodil International University have filed separate counter-cases over the violent clash between their students in Savar.
The cases were filed last night with Savar Model Police Station, Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Jewel Mia confirmed.
City University Registrar Professor Mir Akhter Hossain filed a case, naming one individual and listing around 1,000 unidentified people as accused.
In a separate case, Daffodil International University Assistant Administrative Officer Aftab Uddin Khan made around 250 unidentified individuals accused.
No arrests have been made so far in connection with either case, the OC added.
The clashes erupted on Sunday night following a dispute reportedly triggered by an incident involving spitting.
The City University campus was vandalised, and several of its vehicles were set on fire and damaged. More than 200 students from both institutions were injured reportedly during the unrest.
