3.5 magnitude quake jolts Jashore

A 3.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Jashore and its adjoining areas this afternoon.

The earthquake was felt at 2:27pm, according to a bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department.

The earthquake's epicentre was in the district's Manirampur upazila, 157km southwest from BMD Seismic Centre in Agargaon, Dhaka, the bulletin said.

There was no immediate report of casualties or damage.

Earlier, an earthquake registering a magnitude of four on the Richter scale jolted Sylhet and its adjoining areas around 12:20pm on September 21 this year.
