Eight army personnel were injured, including one critically, when a truck hit their vehicle from behind at Mohanpur upazila, Rajshahi on Tuesday dawn.
Sepoy Md Jewel Rana was admitted to the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital with critical wounds, while the others received first aid treatment.
Mohanpur Police Station Officer-in-Charge Ataur Rahman said the truck driver is being held in army custody.
At 5am, the truck hit a patrol vehicle of army personnel near the Mohanpur Model Town. Subsequently, both the vehicles lost balance and fell to a roadside ditch, leaving eight troops injured.
