Leaders of the National Citizen Party (NCP) reached Faridpur from Khulna today ahead of a scheduled road march.
Departing from Khulna around 9:50am, the leaders reached the Faridpur Circuit House around 1:40pm.
Md Rakib Hasan, organiser of NCP's Faridpur unit, said central and district-level leaders will soon begin a symbolic road march from the Circuit House, which is expected to conclude at the Janata Bank intersection in the town.
Following the march, the event will formally begin with the national anthem and a one-minute silence in memory of the country's martyrs.
Speakers at the rally will include NCP Convener Nahid Islam, Chief Organiser of the Northern Region Sarjis Alam, Southern Region Chief Organiser Hasnat Abdullah, and Central Leader Tasnim Jara, among others.
Rakib Hasan added that after the rally, the central leaders will inaugurate the district NCP office, located on the eighth floor of the 11-storey Shamsuddin Tower at Alipur intersection in Faridpur town.
Later in the day, they are scheduled to leave for Rajbari.
