A youth died after being electrocuted in Kodalia area under Pakundia upazila of the district this morning.
The deceased was identified as Hiramon, 23, son of Dulal Mia of the same area.
Hiramon was electrocuted around 8am while attempting to charge a torch light. He accidentally came into contact with a live electric wire.
Family members immediately rushed him to the Pakundia Upazila Health Complex, where the on-duty doctor declared him dead, said Dr. Noor Alam, family planning officer of the hospital.
