Two electrocuted in Ctg

Two persons died after being electrocuted in Chittagong's GEC area on Sunday afternoon.

The incident happened at Basar Villa near Shahid Abdul Halim College on MM Ali Road in the city.

The dead have been identified as Tayeb, 45, from Purbo Gol Magra area under Mirsarai upazila, and Rabiul, 14, son of Humayun from Jabirpara village in Pakundia upazila of Kishoreganj district.

Nurul Alam Ashiq, in-charge of the police outpost at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH), confirmed the incident. He said the two victims were brought to the hospital in critical condition after being electrocuted. However, the on-duty doctor at the emergency department declared them dead upon arrival.

The exact cause of the electrocution is still unknown. The bodies have been kept in the hospital morgue and will be handed over to their families.
