A Jubo Dal activist was shot to death in Chittagong's Raozan upazila early Sunday.
The incident took place around 1:30 am in Bhandari Colony at Garib Ullahpara village under Bagowan union.
The victim has been identified as Muhammad Manik Abdullah, 36, son of Abdul Motaleb. He had been in UAE for a long time. He returned to the country in October last year. He was living in a rented house with his wife and two sons and daughters.
It was known that miscreants entered his house at night. After shooting and killing him, the miscreants stole an auto-rickshaw and a motorcycle and fled.
Police have inspected the scene after receiving information.
Raozan Police Station OC Monirul Islam Bhuiyan said that the deceased Jubo Dal activist was shot in the head, thigh and leg. Three bullet shells have been recovered. The body was sent to Chittagong Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
