Police recovered the hanging bodies of a mother and his son from the portion of a tree at Purba Rayapur village of Nalchity upazila in Jhalakathi district on Sunday.
The deceased were identified as Rubi Begum, 55, wife of Hanif Majhi, and his son Asad Majhi, 35, residents of the same village in the upazila.
Confirming the matter, Nalchity Police Station officer-in-charge Abdus Salam said that locals spotted the bodies hanging from the portion of a tree and informed police.
Being informed, a team of police recovered the bodies from the spot and sent them to Jhalakathi General Hospital morgue for a post-mortem examinations.
The two other sons of Rubi had been going missing since Saturday, the police official said.
The legal process was underway in this connection, the OC said, adding that legal action would be taken against those found involved.
