An orientation workshop for journalists was held at Rajbari on the occasion of the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign 2025.
The workshop was held at the Civil Surgeon Conference Room, Rajbari, on Thursday (March 13) at 12 noon.
The workshop was chaired by Rajbari Civil Surgeon Dr. SM Masud and attended by Rajbari Press Club President Abdul Quddus Babu as the chief guest.
Rajbari Press Club General Secretary Shahidul Islam Hiron, former Press Club President Khan Md. Zahurul Haque and journalists from print, electronic and online media of the district participated in the workshop.
In his speech as the president, Civil Surgeon Dr. SM Masud said, "The National Vitamin A Plus Campaign plays an important role in increasing children's nutrition and immunity. The role of the media in the successful implementation of this campaign is immense. If public awareness is increased through journalists, we will be able to ensure Vitamin A capsules among children aged zero to five."
The journalists present discussed various aspects of the campaign and highlighted the importance of disseminating accurate information.
It is worth noting that under the National Vitamin A Plus Campaign, children aged 6 to 11 months will be given blue-colored vitamin A capsules and children aged 12 to 59 months will be given red-colored vitamin A capsules.
This workshop provides journalists with important information about the campaign, so that they can play an effective role in raising awareness among the public.
