At least five people were killed and 10 others injured when a lorry hit a pick-up in Feni's Sadar upazila this evening.
The identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.
Harunur Rashid, officer-in-charge of Mohipal Highway Police Station, said the accident took place around 7:00pm in the Hafizia area on the Dhaka-Chattogram highway when a covered-van hit the pick-up. Five people died on the spot when the pick-up overturned upon impact.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
Quoting witnesses and locals, the OC said the pick-up was ferrying construction workers.
