Dolna Akhter
An Awami League leader was arrested in Kurigram's Phulbari upazila last night.
The arrestee, Dolna Akhter, 27, was held in Kabirmamud village of Phulbari.
She is a member of the Forest and Environment Affairs subcommittee of AL Central Committee.
Police said that after the fall of Sheikh Hasina, Dolna had been in hiding in various places in Dhaka. A few days ago, she went to her village home in Phulbari and was in hiding.
On information, police conducted a raid in the village home of the central AL leader and arrested her.
Phulbari Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mamunur Rashid confirmed the matter and said Dolna has been arrested in a case filed in connection with the attack on the student movement during the July uprising in Phulbari upazila on August 4.
