Personnel of BGG-2 apprehended notorious kidnapper Abu Taleb just after two-day he along with his gang members kidnapped six persons.
He has been arrested from Teknaf’s Naya Para area at approximately 12.30pm on Monday. The arrestee abu Taleb is a son of late Fazlul Huque, a dweller of Naya Para of Teknaf.
Sources said, Centering Teknaf Upazila, Abu Taleb has been involved in various Criminal activities including kidnapping for long. He along with his gang members Kidnapped six persons from Teknaf, and took them to a hilly area of Teknaf. Later they are tortured mercilessly. A victim named Zaber Ahmad was able to escape from them, and told the story to the locals. After that the family members of victims sought help from local BGB office. BGB personnel in collaboration with locals conducted an operation and arrested Abu Taleb at 12.30 pm of February 10, 2025. An operation is going on to rescue the remained victims.
A case is being under processed with Teknaf Police Station regarding it.
