Two more children died from measles-like symptoms in the 24 hours until 8:00am today (30 June), raising Bangladesh's combined tally of confirmed and suspected measles-related deaths to 718.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of suspected measles deaths has risen to 625, while laboratory-confirmed deaths now stand at 93.
During the reporting period, the country recorded 866 new suspected measles cases, taking the cumulative total to 101,077.
The DGHS also reported 114 new laboratory-confirmed measles infections over the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 11,965.
Since 10 April, a total of 84,627 patients with suspected measles have been hospitalised across the country. Of them, 80,974 have recovered, according to DGHS data.
