Superintendent of Police of Chattogram District, Masud Alam visited the SM Pilot High School and the temporary police camp at Alinagar in Jungle Salimpur under Sitakunda on Thursday to review security operations and boost morale among deployed personnel.
During the visit, the police chief exchanged views with officers and force members stationed at the camps and listened to their accommodation and professional concerns. He assured them that necessary steps would be taken promptly to address the issues.
The SP directed the personnel to conduct night patrols and checkpoint searches with heightened vigilance and professionalism to maintain law and order in the area.
Later, interacting with local residents, Masud Alam urged the community to cooperate with law enforcement by providing information without fear to help prevent criminal activities.
Delivering a strong warning against crime, he said, “There will be no place for terrorists, extortionists, and drug traffickers in Jungle Salimpur. These criminals are a cancer to society. Chattogram District Police will become a nightmare for offenders. Under the zero-tolerance policy, criminals will be uprooted completely.”
He reaffirmed the commitment of the district police to ensuring the safety and security of people and their property.
At the SM Pilot High School premises, the SP also spent time with students and encouraged them to participate in sports alongside their academic pursuits in order to build a drug-free and enlightened future.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance), Additional Superintendent of Police (Crime and Operations), the Officer-in-Charge of Sitakunda Police Station, local dignitaries, and media representatives were present during the visit.
