After cancellation Dr. Mizanur Rahman Azhari's visa, Australia has formally cancelled the visa of prominent Bangladeshi Islamic speaker Shaykh Ahmadullah.
The decision was taken by the country’s Home Affairs Ministry on Sunday (April 5).
According to reports, the cancellation was announced while Shaykh Ahmadullah was preparing to depart via Sydney Airport.
Assistant Minister for Immigration Matt Thistlethwaite confirmed the move, stating that the Australian government maintains zero tolerance toward individuals promoting antisemitic or Islamophobic views.
Local media outlet The Daily Telegraph reported that Ahmadullah had previously made controversial remarks referring to Jews in derogatory terms and blaming them for global unrest.
