However, compared to previous years, the pressure of return travel is relatively lower this time.

Many people, who were unable to travel home during Eid time, are now heading to their villages with their families, creating two-way passenger traffic at the city's transport hubs.

While visiting the key points of Dhaka, including the Gabtoli, Sayedabad and Mohakhali bus terminals, Kamalapur Railway Station and Sadarghat Launch Terminal, showed that return travel is proceeding normally.

There are no overwhelming crowds, nor are there signs of any transport shortages.

Passengers arriving at Sadarghat said that their journeys were smooth and comfortable. Although the launches carried a considerable number of passengers, there was no excessive overcrowding, and most vessels reached their destinations on schedule.

Regular activities will resume at government, semi-government, autonomous and private institutions, as well as banks, insurance companies, financial institutions and the capital market on Monday (June 1).
