BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman has said that every leader and activist of the party believes that Bangladesh is their first and last address.
"That's why, we have stood before the people and want to rebuild the country through the power of the people."
Tarique Rahman made the remarks on Saturday while addressing an election rally at the Thakurgaon Government Boys' High School ground.
"Khaleda Zia used to say she has no address other than Bangladesh."
The BNP chairperson said that in the election on the February 12th, people will exercise the rights that have been taken away from them. He added that this election is not only about choosing representatives, but also about rebuilding the nation.
Speaking about women, Tarique Rahman said the country cannot move forward without involving women in economic activities. Khaleda Zia had introduced free education for women and said they want to make women self-reliant.
He also said they aim to deliver a family card to every woman.
