Nearly 70 Gazans killed in Israeli strikes as ceasefire nears collapse

Published : Wednesday, 29 October, 2025 at 12:20 PM  Count : 20

Death toll from renewed Israeli strikes on Gaza Strip rose to 68 on Wednesday as the Zionist regime alleged, without proof, that Hamas had violated the ceasefire by attacking occupying forces and killing at least one troop.

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the military to carry out “immediate, powerful strikes in the Gaza Strip for attacks on Israeli troops,” his office said in a short statement.

Hamas denied attacking Israeli soldiers and reaffirmed its commitment to the ceasefire. The Palestinian group also denounced what it called the “criminal bombardment” by Israel, which it said violated the ceasefire agreement.

The scenes in Gaza are repeating themselves – the same tragedy as Palestinians are again under the rubble after Israel violated the ceasefire agreement.

We can clearly see here Civil Defence teams are struggling to get trapped Palestinians from beneath the rubble.

They are using manually operated tools and their bare hands to get many Palestinians who are still trapped under the rubble.

The IDF named the deceased soldier as Master Sergeant Yona Efraim Feldbaum, 37, from the settlement of Zayit Raanan in the occupied West Bank. A member of the Combat Engineering Corps in the Gaza Division, Feldbaum died durning combat in southern Gaza, the IDF said.

US President Donald Trump has addressed questions from reporters over the deadly Israeli attacks on Gaza, on board Air Force One as he travelled from Japan to South Korea.

“As I understand it, they took out an Israeli soldier,” Trump told reporters without naming Hamas. “So the Israelis hit back and they should hit back. When that happens, they should hit back,” he added.

“Nothing is going to jeopardise” the ceasefire, Trump said. “You have to understand Hamas is a very small part of peace in the Middle East, and they have to behave.”
