Attorney General Md Asaduzzaman has said there is no legal barrier to implementing the July Charter, which will be carried out in line with the National Consensus Commission’s recommendations.
He made the remarks while talking to journalists following a view-exchange meeting with local media representatives at the Johan Dream Valley Park Auditorium in Jhenaidah on Friday.
When asked whether a free and fair election is possible under the current administration, the attorney general said the Election Commission is vigilant on the matter. He expressed confidence that the commission will ensure a neutral administration ahead of the polls.
He further said the people of Bangladesh have always resisted fascism whenever they felt insecure, even changing the structure of the state, protesting, and sacrificing their lives for the country.
