Md. Ershad Hasan, a renowned actor, trainer, and director in Bangladesh’s stage and television arena, has recently been honored with the "Sundarban Tourism Club Award 2025" in recognition of his outstanding contribution to acting. This award symbolizes his long-standing artistic practice and popularity with audiences.
Md. Ershad Hasan is equally skilled in stage drama, street plays, mime performances, and television acting. His stage presence is admired for his deep understanding of scripts, natural character portrayal, and unique connection with the audience. On television, his roles in numerous dramas and serials have left a lasting impression on viewers. As a trainer and director, he continues to guide the new generation of actors. Alongside his work in Bangladeshi stage and television, he has also earned acclaim on international stages.
According to the Sundarban Tourism Club, this award is a recognition of Md. Ershad Hasan’s multidimensional contributions and an inspiration for upcoming artists. Club President Mr. Shamimul Ahsan said, "Md. Ershad Hasan’s acting skills and dedication serve not only as the hallmark of an artist but also as a symbol of enriching our culture and the world of arts."
As recognition of his acting excellence, Ershad Hasan has already received numerous awards both at home and abroad, including the TRAB Star Award 2025 from the Television Reporters Association of Bangladesh (TRAB) as a stage and television actor, the Sundarban Tourism Club Award 2025, the Hiron Kiran Natya Padak 2024, and the International Uchimura Award 2008 as part of the group cast in the play "Eksho Bosta Chal," jointly produced by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy and the Embassy of Japan in Dhaka.

The Sundarban Tourism Club Award 2025 was presented in a grand ceremony on 12 September 2025 at 4 PM at the Bishwo Shahitto Kendro Auditorium, in the presence of legendary Bangladeshi film actress Anwara Begum, prominent cultural figures, social activists, and popular stars.
The event's Chief Guest was Ekushey Padak-winning Nazrul Sangeet artist Fatema-Tuz-Zohra. The Special Guests included freedom fighter, producer and director Delwar Jahan Jhantu, former president of the Bangladesh Film Directors’ Association Mr. Kamrul Hasan Dorpon, president of the Bangladesh Cine-Journalists’ Association (BACHSAS) Md. Jahangir Kamal, publisher of the Daily Rangamati, distinguished film and television actress Rumana Islam Mukti, and Mr. Taiyober Rahman Khan, member of BACHSAS and chairman of the Boat Project Board, Sundarban Tourism Club. The event was presided over by Mr. Shamimul Ahsan, president of the Sundarban Tourism Club.
