The annual general meeting of the Moulvibazar Electricians Association was held with colorful arrangements.
The meeting was held at Saifur Rahman Auditorium in Moulvibazar town on Saturday (August 23, 2025) at 11.30 am.
At the beginning of the meeting, chaired by the association's president Md. Alamgir Hossain and moderated by General Secretary Rajatkanti Das Roni, Md. Mojahidul Islam Situ recited from the Holy Quran and Nitai Das recited the Gita.
Media activist Comrade Dewan Masukur Rahman, electrician Badrul, and organization vice-president Jitu Ahmed delivered welcome speeches.
At the meeting, the association's general secretary Rajatkanti Das Roni presented various activities and reports implemented by the association this year. The association's finance secretary Abdul Jalil presented the income and expenditure account.
Abul A'la Md. Moudud, Assistant Headmaster of Moulvibazar Government High School, spoke as the chief guest at the meeting.
The organization's Chief Advisor Md. Dewan Ahmed, Journalist Sh. E. Sarkar Jablu, Md. Alaur Rahman, Syed Mohsin Ali, Chandan Bhattacharya, Senior Manager of BBS Cables Co. Sales and Marketing Md. Rajibul Islam, Md. Khalilur Rahman, Bijli Cables Brahmanbaria Zonal Manager Md. Nur Alam, Branch Manager of Osaka & Company Md. Mizanul Haque Mintu, Territory Sales Manager of SQ Wire Cables Co. Ltd. Md. Rabiul Islam, Divisional Head of SEP Group Sylhet Md. Sohel Khandaker, Branch Manager of BRB Cables Ltd. Md. Akhtaruzzaman, Assistant Manager of Partex Cables Limited Md. Matiur Rahman, etc. spoke as special guests at the annual general meeting of Moulvibazar Electricians Association.
Fans and lights were distributed among the electricians present through a lottery.
In his welcome speech at the annual general meeting of Moulvibazar Electricians Association, media worker Dewan Masukur Rahman congratulated and wished everyone. He said, "I extend my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to all of you at today's annual general meeting. Electricians are an integral part of society and the country. Electricity is closely related to people's daily lives, you make people's lives easier through the safe use and service of that electricity.
This association is not just an organization, but a strong foundation for mutual cooperation, brotherhood and professional development. Through today's meeting, we have evaluated the activities of the past year, will certainly plan for the future and exchange experiences with each other - which will further enrich this profession.
I hope that the Moulvibazar Electricians Association will always remain united and dedicated to the welfare of its members, improving their skills, and serving the society.
